Haiku originated in 2009 with the acquisition of the Montebuoni vineyard,
whose replanting was completed in 2001.
This standout wine is a blend of three varieties: 50% Sangiovese, with the remainder
divided in equal measure between Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
The name is inspired by the traditional Japanese verse in three phrases, whose power lies in allusions
to nature and which requires clear thinking and imagination. Haiku is a powerful wine,
initially supple before impressing with its audacity, substance and refinement.
